Marinpharm GmbH Print E-mail

At Marinpharm, we generate and market genetically modified, fluorescent, stable cell lines that have widespread practical applications in life science and pharmaceutical and medical research. Our current product portfolio includes over 90 different stable cell lines that express fluorescent proteins in the green, blue, red and yellow range.

These fluorescent proteins can be used to mark whole cells, subcellular structures, and/or detect intracellular concentration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and calcium ions, in cell-based assays.

Marinpharm’s technology produces over 95% transfection efficiency and ensures stable expression for many generations.

Apart from the stable, transfected cell lines in stock, Marinpharm also offers a customization service that can create individual cell lines to meet specific needs of clients.

Hundreds of labs worldwide, including many pharmaceutical companies, that use cell lines in drug screenings, buy these innovative research tools from Marinpharm and its distributors. Customers of Marinpharm use stably transfected fluorescent cell lines for a broad range of applications, including:

- Cell based assays1

- Live cell imaging2

- In vivo tracing3

- Multiple labeling assays4

Founded in 2003, Marinpharm GmbH is located in the Biotechnology Park Luckenwalde in the state of Brandenburg near Berlin, Germany. Marinpharm’s long standing business relationship with Evrogen JSC provides ready access to Evrogen’s catalog plasmids to use in the creation of new and customized cell lines (www.evrogen.com).

Since February 2009, Marinpharm GmbH has been a part of the European Human BioSciences (HBS) group. Due to the international network of the HBS group, Human BioSciences, Inc (Gaithersburg, MD, USA) acts as the North American representative for Marinpharm.
