MeWo cells expressing far-red fluorescent TagFP635

Sample Image

Human malignant melanoma cells have been stably transfected to express the far-red fluorescent TagFP635. The cells show a strong far-red fluorescence without changing the original morphology or growth pattern. Thus, they are an ideal model to be used in preclinical tumor research to test new anti-cancer therapeutics.

The biophysical properties of theTagFP635 protein are especially favorable for applications such as bio-imaging of tumor progression in real time (e.g. tracing and measuring tumors in vivo).
